Tzedakah
In addition to the good food, music, and dancing we have planned, we have chosen to celebrate our marriage by giving back to our communities in the form of tzedakah or charity. (The word tzedakah comes from the hebrew root tzedek, which means justice or righteousness.) In honor of our wedding, we have given donations to the following organizations and would encourage everyone who is interested to donate as well.
Mazon is a Jewish organization that fights hunger and starvation throughout the world. Click here to donate.
On May 7, Leora and Danny are participating in the NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) walk to raise awareness for mental illness. Click here to donate.
On June 4, Danny is running in a half marathon to raise money for the CCFA - the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America. The money raised goes towards improving treatment and hopefully finding a cure for Crohn's and Ulcerative Colitis. Click here to donate.
