Tallit Exploratory Quiz

If you do not wear a tallit for prayer, is it because: I usually go to synagogue for evening services.

Tallitot (plural of tallit) are worn only for morning prayer services, with one exception: They are worn throughout Yom Kippur. If you are accustomed to going to Friday evening services, I encourage you to attend Shabbat morning services, because then you can wear a tallit. In some congregations, Torah is read on Friday evening, but in most it is not. On Shabbat morning, you can hear the Torah read, and the Haftarah (accompanying passage from the books of the Prophets). Beginning your day with prayer on Shabbat morning is a wonderful way to get your Shabbat off to a good start.
